A small thank you to y'all

The enthusiasm on here is awesome sometimes a real kick in the pants when I am feeling a bit jaded.

'Listening' to you all egging each other on is brilliant and so refreshing.

You all inspired me to get up out of bed and hit the Parkruns again from waking up to start line in 45 minutes! No time to for my body to rebel and convince me I would rather be in bed.

This really is a centre of positivity gravity 8-)

  • ..and thank you for your support!! I agree with everything you have said :)

  • your right there it really is :)

  • As the saying goes "what goes around, comes around"

Having everyone supporting each other is lovely, a true community.

  • Great post and great community! :)

  • Another forum I frequently visit is on tripadvisor and I have to say by comparison that place can more often than not be soul destroying to anyone looking any sort of help of advice. The atmosphere and spirit here is always friendly and encouraging which was just what I needed when getting started.

You get a sense that everyone is on the same page and is in no way intimidating compared to regular running forums - I think because it's based around C25K we all know where everyone's humble beginnings where :)

  • I totally agree - I love this forum and everyone in it! It's one of the first places I visit when I turn on my computer :)

  • Funny you should say that Kate - my friends have been saying lately that they miss me on Facebook..... :-)

  • :D

  • I thought you might try one again but that was pretty speedy fom bed to park!

I think that the runners on here are all genuinely caring enthusiastic people and I still get really inspired by the blogs and the support.

But can I say a big public thank you to YOU? If it wasn't for you last March encouraging me to stay on the forum after I had finished the podcast, and the continued encouragement since then, I don't think I would have had the motivation to keep up the running after I lost my two friends in June.

ps. you didn't mention your time for the 5k ;)

  • :-)

    AWWWW shucks.

    My time was fine thanks!

  • :) darn it, you mean that double dare now don't you :)
