We've had about 6 inches of snowfall over night and I really wanted to go out running this evening. Is it advisable? I obviously don't want to fall over and hurt myself. I'm hoping some of it might melt during the day and the pavements will be clear at least by the time I get home.
Has anyone ever tried running in snow?

Well it's been 4 seasons in one day today! I left work and there was still loads of snow on the ground but 6 miles away at my flat it was glorious sunshine, not a patch of snow in sight and completely dry. 10 mins later it was sleeting but I got my running stuff on (plus wooly hat) and headed out anyway.
Luckily it stopped after 2mins and stayed off the rest of the run, phew! I have to say that the cold air was much more enjoyable than running in the heat last week.
I used to live in Oslo, Norway, and loved loved loved running in the snow. You have to be careful on treaded snow which has become slippery, and of course ice patches. But enjoy it! It feels great
