Can you run 2 days in a row?

I'm on week 4, run 2; I ran this morning but if it's a nice morning tomorrow I would quite like to go for another run, however, Laura says to always leave a day in-between to rest/repair muscles, do we HAVE to do this so as to not get an injury or, as long a we feel ok can we run daily if we want to?

There are people who run every day, but they tend to be the professionals who have experts to guide and advise them.

Personally I think you'll be fine to run tomorrow as long as you build rest days into the rest of your week. 3 rest days would be highly recommended, anything less than that at this early stage when your running muscles are still developing and your body is getting used to your new routine could mean putting yourself at risk of injury.

An alternative to running tomorrow could be a nice brisk walk?
