I am type 2 10+years and now injecting insulin and use a CDM device.
I have joined a gym recently as I want to commit to losing weight and tried couch to 5 k previously out of doors and had several accidents which deterred me. I am over 70 but am mentally active and enjoy work .

If you are happy doing hit in the gym, we have a few other forum friends who do similarly, but as and when the better weather comes, and if you can choose a suitable, obstacle free location, maybe you will head outdoors?
I started at 65 and still here still running at nearly 75!
Do keep posting your runs, but do remember this programme is not a weigh loss programme, and you may or may not lose weight.
A healthy eating and hydration routine is key for your diabetes control and our sister site Weight Loss forum has many of our forum friends from here, over there!
Well done you and looking forward to your first post !
First, everything Oldfloss said 🙂; you need to make sure that you are ready to start this programme.
That said, Type 2 diabetes reared its ugly head in our household at the start of last year. Mrs BC is on medication, I was just 1 point into the pre diabetic range. We decided that we were both going to eat the same things. So we followed the dietary advice we were given, being careful to make sure that got the nutrition we needed. The result was each losing over 1 stone in weight and I ended up running further and faster at age 72 than I believed possible. I too was a late C25k starter at age 66. Mrs BC isn’t a runner, but her three month blood tests showed an 11 point drop over the year. I have my first test in a year next week🤞🤞🤞.
I am doing this for the second time and use a treadmill, use some incline to compensate for not running outside.Type 2 also, and last check up got a rollicking for my sugars, was thinking about doing this again anyway, so here I am.
