Hi all, I finished the programme yesterday, and am SO pleased. I felt a bit emotional when my coach Jo said goodbye at the end (I'm a soppy old so-and-so! π) but it was partly due to the elation I felt too. I was lucky not to have sickness or injury and I managed my 9 week target; I'm fully intending to carry on (I'm not quite at 5K yet, and I also want to build up to 'enjoyment'!) and, as ever, am extremely grateful for all the posts, advice, tips etc. on here. Thank you again everyone!
Very happy to have done it! π: Hi all, I... - Couch to 5K
Very happy to have done it! π
Congratulations!!!! Well done you!!
Huge well done to you...it is an amazing and incredible feeling isn't it?
Think about consolidation and relaxing a little now... maybe with the target reached, you can ease back and focus on building up and letting the enjoyment creep in..
Running , some short, some longer runs... taking everything in, sight, sounds, sensations... no need to worry about time or pace... just run... and enjoy x
π Jo was my coach too. Lovely person! You have every right to feel emotional. It was a big commitment & you have put in 9 weeks of hard work. Congratulations π₯³ and wishing you well as those trainers take you on many adventures! All the advice for going further is on the Claim your badge post. We look forward to hearing from you either here or over on Bridge. Well done! π
Im a week behind you!!
Congratulations, a great achievement and hopefully just the start of a longer journey. Well done you π
Well done! It will be nice to hear where your legs take you next.
Iβm one run away from completion and I donβt think Iβd have done it without the people on here giving me some pep talks.
Take care
Thank you! As well as trying to keep running three times a week, I may do parkrun for one of them - I think the social aspect might be good for me!
Absolutely brilliant re: your progress (we were close all the way) and good luck for W9R3 π
Absolutely agree about the help and kindness on here.
Take care too
many congratulations- such a wonderful feeling. I still go back to Jo if Iβve had a break or injury. Still canβt manage a 5k in 30 minutes but who cares. Enjoy the runs and endorphins
