I’m going to get a gait analysis, but I was wondering if anyone could let me know what trainers they use. I am using airmax with sorbothane insoles for overpronation, but I don’t feel my feet are supported properly.

I also had a gait analysis done and my trainers are Brooks , so far they seem to be giving me both comfort and stability 🏃♀️
I transitioned over to zero drops (Altra Lone Peak 5), but do sometimes run in New Balance 11mm drop Hierro trail shoes, which have much more support, specifically at times where I feel my calf muscles are tight.
But I love my zero drop shoes which have a wide toe box. Game changer for me.
One of the things your gait analysis will check is whether you over or under pronate (or if you don't do either ie neutral) which is about how your foot lands when you run and the effect it has on they way your leg joints articulate as a result. This will guide the amount of support you need from a shoe.
The shop should give you lots of different shoes to try, the one I went to had a treadmill so I could see how they felt while running rather than walking round the shop, really useful.
My shoes are either ASICS or Brooks, very happy with both. I tried some more expensive brands which looked beautiful but they just didn't give support in the right places. Other people swear by them, this shows how important it is to try them on, especially when you're starting out and not sure what to get.
Make sure and send us a picture once you get them, have fun and try not to break the bank 😂
While Brooks suit me, they could well be totally wrong for your feet, runs and personal preferences, including budget. Perhaps read this FAQ on choosing shoes, if you haven't already: healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Fwiw when I got my first pair of runners at a specialist shop the name and model were never mentioned. I didn't even know what I'd bought until I looked at the box about ten minutes after leaving the shop.
Happy shopping!
Adidas... Road, trail and Hybrid... so many out there... horses for courses If you get gait analysis you may have a starting point...
Mizuno-very comfortable. Light and like running in slippers
I had a gait analysis and also purchased some brooks . Best thing iv brought ! Before that I had some sketchers, nikes and karrimor Always used to get blisters and pins and needle before my brooks
I always get New Balance Freshfoam 1080, tried several others in the past but my feet are quite broad and NB fit me best. No more bruised toenails!
