Do I need new trainers

Hi I graduated in July from c25k and since then I’ve done a 10k in sept and I am doing a half marathon next Sunday.

I’ve had my running shoes since July but am getting blisters all of a sudden. I looked at the tread and they look like they do on this picture.

Does this mean I need a new pair or am I over thinking it? Any answers appreciated

I'm in no way a trainers expert but they look okay. I've seen people on here buy blister socks , so I wonder if they would help. Also it's strange you're only getting blisters now after wearing them since July.

Good luck with your HM next Sunday 🤗🤗

If you take 15k a week for the last 20 weeks, that would be 300k. Typically shoes last about 300-400 miles, so i'd say you've got a little more life in them yet, but probably worth starting to think about what you'd replace them with, especially if you also did your c25K in them.

Don't buy new shoes a week before a half marathon!

The soles don't look too bad to me.

Have you changed anything else about your feet, socks, laces, washing powder, duration of runs, surface etc. etc.?

This might give you some pointers well.blogs.nytimes.com/2013...

I recommend injinji toe socks for avoiding blisters
