Welcome to the forum! It sounds like you’ve already made some really positive changes. I’ve heard significantly cutting down on sugar is tough at the start and suddenly gets a lot better. Wishing you lots of luck with that and the runs too.
We’ve got a useful guide with hints and tips here that’s worth a browse….
How did it go with your run this morning, Andibaby ?
I've tried cutting down on sugar many times - and am finding that the absolute most important challenge is to not buy the stuff! I still fail but I try again next time I wander past the cookie aisle. It helps a lot that strawberries are in season right now 🤣
It'll get a whole lot easier to avoid sugar once you get used to it. The less you eat the less you want.Tip for avoiding eating dessert: most puddings are actually disappointing. When you're tempted by one think of the worst example of it you've eaten - the over sweet, bad texture, stale, chemicaness - and suddenly it just doesn't appeal.
If your dining companion orders it and it turns out to be exquisite you have my permission to nick a spoonful (better ask first though 😂)
well done you for getting here, and also giving up the sugar, how’s it going?
I am all for increasing my fibre and protein, to try make me feel full and not want to eat as much sugar things, rather than giving it all up. I LOVE to bake and couldn’t imagine giving it up completely, however I know people who have and wouldn’t go back, as they really feel the benefits with their health.
