Hi all. After struggling for years with my weight I managed to lose 4 stone and finally felt happier with myself, but a few years ago I lost my best friend and never managed to say goodbye. Due to this I hit a hard rock and the weight has piled on. 7.5 stone to be exact and now weigh in at 21-7 . I turn to food as a comforter when things are rough but hopefully by doing this I can turn things around again.

🍏You have obviously been through a tough time. Hopefully by starting Couch to 5K you can turn things around a bit. Running is no quick fix for weight loss but combined with a healthy diet you can feel healthier and have a better outlook on life. Many people have said their physical & mental health has improved. Here is a guide to our program.

Welcome! Running can be such a positive thing to start doing regularly and couch to 5k is a great programme to follow. You’ll have lots of little wins to celebrate.

Sorry to hear you’ve had such a difficult time. Weight loss is hard, but you know you’ve done it before and you know what works so you’re in a great position to get to where you want to be again. There’s a board here for chat about weight loss with great support…

Can’t wait to hear about your run journey. Take it steady and be patient with yourself. Before you know it you’ll be impressing yourself with how far you can go and fitness you never knew you had in you. Good luck!

Welcome... Great advice from our two friends here... and well done you for getting here! Looking forward to your first run post.

Take a peek at Catch Up Corner later too...,it is aimed at some of our new running friends:)

Slow and steady as you go... and maybe think as you begin, just how proud your friend would be to see you running:)
