By a happy coincidence a potential before work run day coincided with hair wash so I bit the bullet and headed out for a short run this morning with dog in tow. Silly me, I’d forgotten that it would be dark and Ebony’s light up collar wouldn’t work - should have checked it was charged up🤦🏼♀️
It had been raining overnight and it was still a bit drizzly so it was nice and cooling. An easy 20 mins done. I’ve just seen the weather forecast for tomorrow 😱and I’m feeling very smug that I’ve done a run today!
My Shokz have arrived so I was keen to try them out. Even the minis are quite big on my head but I agree they are a game changer. Definitely felt safer being aware of everything around me. Just need to get to grips with how to use the controls.
Now I just need to dig out my brother’s old caving headlamp and these early morning work day runs will be a breeze!
No sunrise today I’m afraid but Ebs enjoyed it anyway- lots of puddles for hydration en route 😊

It's usually about this time of the year that Lidl have cheap head torches as their special buys. I can't see any coming up in the next couple of weeks, but it's always a good idea to look out for them in the catalogue.
Two Christmases ago my sister got me a pair of LED armbands. They've been useful to for running the streets in the dead of winter.
yes that’s a good shout re armbands. My running gear is reflective but probably not enough. *mentally adds to Xmas list! Oops sorry I didn’t mean to mention the C- word
Those Shokz are a game changer, certainly for me ( and yes the min are a tad large on my head too), but they fit well over the ears... and they work! You will get used to them and wonder how you managed before!
That run looks exciting and lovely to have your four legged friend with you...xxx
