Graduation #2!

Having completed the program in 2021 I got some niggling injuries and had work commitments that meant the running habit was lost. I was desperate to get back on the horse this summer - and really enjoyed the journey - probably more so than last time. 5k in 35 mins tonight- now going to press on to 10k over the autumn/winter. If anyone is debating whether to try to do C25k a second time having stopped, I heartily recommend getting those trainers back out and pushing yourself again. It feels better second time around!

Brilliant, well done -what if anything did you do differently the second time through?

You say you had some niggling injuries the first time-what did you do to prevent those?

Thanks so much! I suffer from knee issues (permanent screws in place on the left knee and a dislocation risk on my right, so this time I used some thin supports I got from Nike - not the big sock knee supports, just the patella bands. Worked a treat!

Huge well done you... lots of folk repeating all or bits of C25K for whatever reason right now...including me, again. There is so much support here for everyone and motivational tips to help you keep going.

Like a familiar friend... you just enjoy it... so, what next for you?

Thanks! Work colleagues are discussing a team 10k run so I am going to use the 5k to 10k plan to get me there over the weeks ahead.

Well done Andy. I've just completed the 2nd time around, 8 years after the first. I dream of running 5k and grateful that I made just over 2.5 km in 35 mins.

Thanks! Running 35mins straight is the win here - not the speed - that is an achievement in itself - brilliant stuff.
