Feeling hot, sweaty and Am-az-ing!!! My first run alone, without dh ... Just in ... mid day sun in the forest over the road.
Before I went out my phone wasn't charged (17%). Put phone on charge, while frustratingly busying myself; at 21% I went back in to dh working from home who says to me: "you're very red in the face!" ... my reply: 'I haven't gone yet!!' π π π€£ (I'll let him off this time as he's red/green colour blind ... better than "... green in the face" I guess haha!!! π€’ π½
Anyways, the run was great! Jo W again; plus a 'running pace hitlist' ... I managed to feel at a comfortable π pace ... first 2 runs a doddle on path ... then went onto grassy bridleway for 3rd run - going into a brisk walk just before the end of it ... but managed runs 4 and 5 well.
What I noticed (apart from my knee feeling much better) was that I can now manage Jo's suggested breathing - almost.
Last run she really threw me off pace when she mentioned it; I was on a sideroad with occasional cars and got flustered trying to concentrate on too many things at once. The gremlins came out and took over that run. πΉπ± ... why do we do that to ourselves?!
I was much more relaxed today and I suppose prepared for it - I wasn't as out of breath even though it felt v warm. π₯΅
I passed a few walkers in the 'brisk walk' bit of my run - but I wouldn't have cared if they saw my snail pace! It was heaven out there!π
I feel much cooler now and am popping off for a shower before seeing LO in EAU ward later. They had a scan today and said it was fine - but I hope to speak to a Dr today to glean more. So pleased I've got C25K to fall back on for these stressful times β‘
At the weekend I was browsing through past posts on here and came across Tim/Ian aka 'truffe' whose pinned post is up for all to see. What a lovely, brave soul and such a loss to this community; but lovely words to carry with us in our hearts on our runs β‘ I love this community so much β€οΈ
Ps: little treat isn't on my right wrist yet - still sealed in its packet - so still have that to look forward to.
Take care lovely peeps and see you next time xxxx
