🍏 Welcome to the forum & hopefully someone else starting out will link up with you! 👏 Well done on giving it a go from memory & adding in a bit of swimming.
Sounds like you are determined to get back in shape. Here is a link to the FAQ to help you get the most out of the program
The secret is to run slowly so that you don’t get out of breath .. drink plenty of water 💦 on run and rest days & to take the rest day. Let us know how you get on!
i took it real ease in the pool.. one length break, etc..only two laps with arms and legs, then used a float and just kicked,, managed 4 laps in total that way. but i would take a break every lap, takng it easy..
Welcome. back...... you have already had the link for the essential reading and because you have done this before... or parts of it, then you know how important that reading is
You started probably too enthusiastically and excitedly so... just ease back and slow everything down.
Take these early runs gently, there is no pressure at all... relax and enjoy. . Looking forward to your posts !
trust me i went slow on a trear mill, the walk was ar 4.5 km/h at the high and the run was 5.5. i did however mess with nclne on the treadmillfirst run was at 5,then put it down by one for each of the 5 runs i did
Swimming is a great rest day activity-one of my favourites! The great thing about couch to 5k is that it builds gently and you don’t need to worry about how fast you’re going. Just the act of going out and running at a slow and comfortable pace will get you fitter and stronger. I found thinking of it as time on my feet and not worrying about pace really helped me keep at the right pace. No need to push yourself-just show up consistently and you’ll be amazed what happens.
thats the hope although yesterday i was soo hot i stayed home, and spoiled myself. i ate half a side of salmon, 3 tomoatoes and 3 small new potatoes, with a can of pepsi.
