in agreement with Pricey, torture.

Wk3r3 done with much vented frustration! The final 3 mins I took to shouting out every positive thing I could think of in my own word association game, I run a country lane so don't think I was heard apart from birds and rabbits.

I had to do something to distract myself, I was fixed on the pain as my ankles and lower calfs in bits, had to force myself to focus elsewhere, I even shouted for Laura to come on and tell me i had done about 20 secs before she thankfully appeared! (I'd run out of positives) I just want to, for once, get started without that weighted feeling because it just gets worse :(

I've done it though, I did not quit, I am starting to have a different relationship with my own body and right now I am arguing with my lower half!

Oh Bxster that sounded a very painful run for you but you did it. Are you resting on your days off or are you doing some other exercise? Maybe feet up or a lovely foot massage is in order. Well done for keeping going. :) Smile and stay positive

I think when I first started to run for 5 mins I found I had to just turn my mind off and start reciting some poetry or something, just to take my mind off the torture.

I also find if the tough bits happen with the songs with words in, I can focus to singing along rather than going OMG. When its the 'count down' music I find it really difficult as all I am focusing on is wanting it to end lol.

Does sound a bit like an ouch kind of run. Rest up, maybe take an additional day of rest to make sure you have fully recovered. It will help.

If you haven't already done so it may be worth getting a professional running shoe fitting... I found that once I got new trainers with a little support the pain went away (alhtough didn't make my legs feel any lighter lol).

Focus on what you've achieved...you wouldn't have been able to do it 3 weeks ago so you should be proud of yourself.

Good luck with week 4 hope the legs are OK.

Keep going shout more! Whatever gets you through!

I find 'industrial language' language helps at tough moments personally.
