Let me introduce my birthday present…here are my new pair of ‘On cloud’…I always seem to go for this make…I love their colours and styles, this is my 4 pair …I’ve had others in between but none compare to my ‘On’s’
Who else loves this brand?
it’s looking like thunder at the moment here in Yorkshire but it’s Yorkshire day today and I usually celebrate with a run…and running in the rain is my favourite…maybe I’ll go out in an older pair so these don’t get mucky, it’s not my birthday until Thursday anyway so I shouldn’t really have them yet… 🤔
I’ll let you know how it goes when I take them out for their maiden voyage!!! Happy August everyone x

This morning I got my midweek run, today it was 5K in a time of 34:36, started at 07:40 and completed the run just before 08:15, nice run, surprisingly I avoided the rain ☔.
I have a brand new third pair eagerly waiting to be put into action, but I now have an obsession with trying to get pair No 2 to 1000 miles. AND - they are a great shoe for walking around in normal social circumstances.
Never thought I would say this about shoes, but they are beautiful - and add a trendiness to my ancient feet. Those who KNOW and spot them are probably thinking 'this old geezer is almost certainly a secret trained athlete' - at least that is what goes on in my head.....
Haha…I didn’t take them yesterday just incase it rained, it didn’t but I wasn’t willing to risk it!! I want a nice dry day for their first outing…I could take some spares in a back pack just incase I suppose?!!
Ooo how wonderful are those? You lucky thing and 🎉 happy birthday 🎉 for tomorrow. New trainers, a run in the rain in old trainers and Yorkshire Day, what more could you want?
Aw thank you Folkylass …I would recommend ‘On’ but then again the first pair of trainers I bought when I started c25k were New Balance & I liked those too..we went on a great journey together!! So it all depends what suits how you run etc…when I had my gait analysis done I came out of up and running with ‘On’ so I guess that just stuck…I have listened to a podcast called ‘Sliced bread’, they talk about all sorts and once the subject was running shoes, they were debating whether you need to spend fortunes on them or whether cheaper trainers are just as good and they did conclude that spending loads on them wasn’t necessary…but I guess it’s down to the individual and what your pocket can stretch to…my hubby always buys my trainers for birthday or Christmas so I’m lucky I don’t have to fork out!! x
I’ve always had Brooks but Ive always fancied a pair of ‘On’ so I might have a look. And as my Brooks Trails are nearly coming to the end of their shelf life and Christmas is not far off I might put ‘On’ on my wish list👍😂😂🥰x
I like the look of "Ons" but have seen people wearing them "à la casual" didn't realise, perhaps stupidly, that they were the real deal. Every day is a school day.
Love your ON’s and the bright colour, wish shoe companies made wide trainers in brighter colour. Have Altra trail in Red/orange so limited to what I get. Listened to sliced bread podcast on Spotify and it was interesting, and other subjects as well. Have a lovely birthday 🎉 Thursday and hope it stays dry to wear your new ON’ s for a run 🎂
Hope you’ve had a great day and continue to enjoy celebrations. Also hope you managed a birthday run in those beautiful new shoes, they are mighty fine 🥰
