I started The NRC preparation for a 5K race this week to push myself a little more out of my comfort zone…I am not planning on a race just to take part in a Parkrun again.. Today was about intervals…thoroughly enjoyed this guided workout.

Ooh, this sounds interesting. I've now run 3 or 4 5k runs but haven't yet done a Parkrun. Could be something to look into!

Parkruns are fab.. I used to walk them before doing C25K the first time.. I celebrated after consolidating for a few weeks then ran a few park runs.. haven’t done one since covid and would like to again..

Go for it…you can do your next planned run and then walk the rest!! Start by walking for 5 mins to warm up! Don’t forget to register!

How exciting for you! There are a lot of us following various NRC plans over on Bridge. You might even spot someone’s run report for the same as yours! It’s intervals for me today too. A lot of fun! Which was yours today!

You’ll smash your park run! A goal like that is so helpful for keeping in track ❤️

Run strong 1min recover 1min .. with 5 min easy run, to begin and end… Hope yours goes well … fab way to work out now and again🤣

I’ve done that one! Lots of fun. Mine was “the shifter” which was tough-a minute of mile pace tacked on to various other intervals. I found it really hard this morning, especially because it was tipping down. Pleased to have it done though!

Well done! It sounds like I need to download NRC for when I complete c25k again. I used to do Parkruns too, but stopped with Covid and didn't go back. Now just finished week 5

Covid changed all our lives one way or another. Well done Joy on getting back into running again & awesome that you have completed 5 weeks already!! The great thing about NRC is that you can choose guided runs which is helpful after C25K.. Look forward to your progress in the next 3 weeks. Enjoy!
