attempted C25K many times, usually got to week 1 run 1, then never continued. I’ve now completed week4 run 2. I must admit, it is getting hard now but I haven’t given up. Determined to complete the course this time round!

I think it’s more mind over matter, my body can do it but I’m thinking that it’s not possible to do. If that makes sense?

That makes perfect sense. As I say to many C25K beginners, any progressive exercise program (be it running, weight-lifting, rowing etc) like this one is actually a mental challenge not a physical one. That's because they are designed to take you from 'couch' to their end destination, in this case, 30 minutes of continuous running (jogging!) - so the starting few weeks should always be gentle enough to lay a foundation and build confidence.

As long you keep understanding that this is all mental, then you'll be fine. Physically, your body is always ready for the next step by having done all the previous runs - your fitness accumulates with every run you do. You're going to have some very pleasant surprises.

TOP TIP: Switch. Brain. Off. 😎

I just completed week 4, I must admit I physically struggled today but I ended up doing a fitness class yesterday so my legs are like jelly. I did complete it though. But lesson learned… do not do a leg day before a run lol. Thanks for your help :-)
