It seems like it's 12 days since my last confess... sorry run.
It's been quite busy, I had a meeting come up at very short notice in central London (Victoria area), so I had to go home, get everything ready and then head off the next morning on the train.
Instead of doing the usual thing of jumping on the tube I walked from St Pancras down to the customers office, and then, much to the surprise of one of my colleagues, I walked back too.
That was a nice 5 mile walk, not walked that far in London for a very long time.
Anyway, back to today.
I've had to return home again due to another customer meeting, talking Mrs LeeU's car to the garage, etc, I had to replace my HR chest strap at home because the original one I had died, it came with my 735XT that I bought in 2016.
I bought the Garmin Pro Plus strap and after reconfiguring the data fields on my 745 I headed out this morning.
I loaded up the C25K app and decided on week 3 run 1, the shorter runs combined with pace alerts on the 745 were what I hoped would help me pace myself.
The first 90 second run was nothing short of a disaster, way too fast, HR back under control for the 3 minute running segment and about a minute into that I was mainly hitting the 4.4mph that I was aiming for.
I tended to bounce between 4.4 and 4.8/9mph, especially if I didn't keep checking.
I completed the 2 90/90/3/3 segments and then, just because I felt like it, I put the run back to halfway through and did the 90/90/3/3 pattern again.
One thing I did consciously decide on prior to even leaving home was NO MUSIC, nothing that could throw in a beat/tempo fast than I wanted to go.
According to the 745 my performance condition stayed in the Good section which surprises me greatly.
I'm 10.2lbs down over the last 4 weeks and fast approaching 70lbs lost since January 16th (just under 31kgs). I'm under 21 stone for the first time in about 5-6 years.
Running outside my legs KNOW I've asked them to do something they don't normally do.
Happy running everyone!
