Week 6 Run 2 ☀️

What a beautiful morning for a run. Sun shining, slight breeze! Sleeveless t- shirt, methinks. (Must be summer!)

Out the door before 7. Major faffage with Garmin watch, which wasn’t showing the workout I’d written for today’s run. So decided just to do 2 separate 10 minute runs. Warm up walk done and off I go - slowly of course. I always have doubts at the beginning of a run, but after a few minutes I settle into a nice, comfortable pace. This is the last interval run so I’ll make the most of it! It’s quiet out. Not much traffic, lots of birdsong for a fairly built up area. By the time I pass Tesco I’m on the 3 minute walking break. At least it’s not open yet so I’m not tempted to go and grab a coffee from the Costa there!

Ok - recovery break over and I’m off again. I turn the corner into the incline and have to slow down a little. Upwards to the next roundabout! I turn again onto the level part, then it’s downhill for a bit and I can relax. The run is over.

The next run is 25 minutes and I’m not so confident! I plan to run it really slowly.

For now I’m pleased with this run! Home for coffee and stretches! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️☀️👍

Great run! You really are the queen of getting out and getting it done. I’m still in my PJs!

Going at a steady pace is always a good plan for your couch to 5k runs! You’ll have that 25 minute run in your pocket before you know it. Enjoy ❤️

Thanks. I think my comment was because I’d already started thinking about the next run, without being pleased with what I’d done this morning. It was more a reminder to myself to focus on the present!

That makes sense! I thought I might have misread it so edited my post while you were replying 🙈

BRAVO - on Costa-avoidance AND the run!

Might time it so that my 25 minute run ends at Tesco!

We have a nearby Costa, but my coffee is better than theirs! The cafe I really like is 25 minute walk away (but not a 25 minute run away ... ) I have already considered parking there and leaving my laptop in the boot; running and then "working" in the cafe after my run, but my sitting in shorts and sweaty shirt might reduce their custom! 😂

My coffee is better than theirs as well, but I just love to have a coffee out! Yes, I can see your dilemma 🤣

Good run Jools. I'm behind with post, having a couple of days away. Good luck for the next one 😀
