Week 9, day 3 just completed. A bit harder than my other 30 minute runs. I’m not sure why. But it’s done!

Any advice on the transition from treadmill to outside? My 5k is June 3rd.

I would just try a run outside and see how comfortable it feels. You may need to build up to 5k outside.

Hi

I did C25K then worked up to 10K on the treadmill. Then I headed outside :D

I did try a few runs outside while I was working up, but in the end I did it in two weeks when I went on holiday and ran every other day.

It was different, I can't deny it, but you've put the work in and you shouldn't have too much difficulty. Just find somewhere flat to start and get some "outside legs" in.

Thank you. I just hope it doesn’t set me too far back. I’ve been walking outside all along, including hills. Worst case scenario, I guess I just slow down.

The first couple of runs were depressing :D But honestly you just need to get used to it.
