Hello,

I am coming to the end of my 5k journey and wondered if anyone can recommend what o do next? I have signed up to a 10K in the autumn but can’t find any apps or programmes that seems as friendly as the C25k.

Hop across to bridge to 10k and look on the pinned posts for the 10k magic plan. Before you do, though, it's best to consolidate by running your 30min runs for a few weeks, then possibly up to 5k if you're not there. Bridge to 10k is a friendly place for C25K graduates.

When you announce that you've completed C25K   Stirz , the lovely admins will send you a link with lots of info about post C25K running, as well as where you can claim your on-forum Graduate badge.

Great advice from   Archerygoddess about consolidation and the Bridge to 10K forum too!

One thing to bear in mind re apps: despite the name, C25K is actually a time-based programme. The aim is to run 30 minutes, not 5k. Any 10k app is necessarily distance-based, but as people run at different speeds, it makes creating an audio-guided app complicated, because the duration needs to vary.

Hi & congrats 👍...I reached just over 4k on my last run of week 9. So continued with 3 x 30 minute runs for a week or two, then did 2 x 30 mins plus a slightly longer 33 mins on my 3rd run at the weekend. Carried on with 2 x 30s & added a few mins a week on my long run until I was running 5k. Over a few weeks I got all runs up to 5k, then over on Bridge to 10k I started Juju's fabulous plan to build up on my weekly long run, 1st to 1hr, then to 10k.

There is much more fun & support to be had once you've achieved the last run of C25K 😊

The Bridge to 10k is a good option. I was lucky and my local running club offered what was termed an improvers group for the c25k graduates. They worked on the principle of time on feet as opposed to distance. So I got to the point I could run for over 1.5 hours at conversational pace. Achieved this the same way as getting to 30 mins, increase time abit each week. Due to an injury that benched me for just over 2 years I have just finished c25k again and am working back up to 10k, aiming for my first organised 10k in August. Good luck with getting to your 10k goal.
