week 1, run 1. I do love walking but after a car accident 20 years ago where I have pins in both my legs, running was always out of reach. Ready to smash it and my aim is to complete a 5k and prove myself wrong.

Welcome to the forum and the programme

The first step is often the hardest but without it no others can follow 🙂

We have a very good programme guide that you can find here .

healthunlocked.com/couchto5....

Do take some time to read through it .

It's packed with helpful information to guide you through the programme.

Enjoy the journey!

A very warm welcome from me too! Couch to 5k is such a brilliant programme. You’re going to have so much to celebrate and it’s never too soon to start that! I used to have a mini celebration at the end of every week.

It might help you (because it helps me!) to think of it as a “time on feet” programme because you’re aiming to run 30 minutes continuously three times by the end. That might be 5k, or it might not but either way, you’ll have an amazing achievement to be proud of. The name is a bit misleading! Distance doesn’t matter for the programme and you can build up slowly to 5k once you’ve finished. Loads of our graduates do that.

Really looking forward to hearing about your runs! Good luck! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️
