well, I’m just about done. 1 more run to do and I’ve graduated, I’m really stoked that I can now run for 30mins straight albeit on a treadmill ! I like going to the gym and using the treadmill works for me. I’m not particularly fast in fact I’m quite slow 😂 the speed I run at on the machine is 4.3 mph ( doesn’t do km ) so although I’m running 30 mins I’m only doing a little over 2 miles. So as I’m not doing 5k just yet can I still say I’ve graduated ? I can’t see me getting to 5k in 30mins at any point so I’ll just keep increasing the run time until I hit 5k. My plan is just get to 5k and once there try to chip away at the time. Does that plan sound like a plan ?? Can I apply for my badge tomorrow when I complete my last run ? 😂

Absolutely, the plan should really be called Couch to 30 mins running, but C25K is more catchy :D

Many, many people (myself included) graduate without getting to 5k in 30 mins.

After graduation, those that wish to continue running tend (and are advised by the awesome runners here) to consolidate (eg run week 9 r 3 a few more times just to get your body used to running that) before moving on to other things, whether that be just staying at 30 mins, trying to increase pace or trying to increase distance. Or just mixing it up, and doing short faster runs, trail, whatever works for you.

Absolutely you can !

This programme is about time spent running!

NOT How far you have run 🙂

Take a look at this .

So just relax and enjoy your graduation run 🙂👍

Have a look at this ... you'll see that the vast majority of graduates do NOT run 5k in 30 mins during Week 9:

C25K is a time-based program. You are asked to run for 30 minutes, 3 times in Week 9 - nothing more, nothing less.

Do that and the badge is yours :-)

Enjoy the finishing straight and then you can ask all the usual questions that graduates do ;-)
