It is a beautiful place to walk, run or bike ride Beatlesforever, the weather where I live in Central Scotland is very sunny, no snow but it was very cold with a temperature of - 2C when I started my 7K run this morning just before 9 o'clock.

That is cold! I bet you warmed up quickly with your 7k run, well done 👍 It was snowing heavily when we woke up and everything looked very pretty. It melted pretty quickly because it's been raining all day. At least my dog had some fun this morning playing in the snow ❄️🐶

I did warm up wearing two quite thick jumpers and Joggers, certainly not shorts weather.

Glad you like the photo Doris8, I stopped just after I ran 5K to take the photograph then continued to run 7K altogether, no, there isn't any snow on those hills, by the way they are called The Campsie Fells in Central Scotland, although it was very frosty but sunny with no clouds in the sky, the temperature was - 2C at 9 when I started the run.

I agree with you Annieapple, it is a wonderful place to run, beyond that photo the council are repairing a path through the woods, once that is repaired and new drainage put in I will be able to run or walk on a extended route which adds about 1.4K to my runs..

Glad you like the photo MissUnderstanding, I do have a great choice of places I can run, the photo is of the main place I run 5,10 and 16K runs, another place I run is around a small pond just 500 metres from where I live, it's a 1 km walk or run all the way around, on Saturdays when I don't go to parkrun I run a 3K, there is another small park only a 3 minutes walk from where I live including a disused football pitch I can run on if the weather is very icy, its 200 metres all the way around, last December when all the parkruns were cancelled because of ice I managed to run 3K/15 times around it because there was no ice on that particular part of the park.

It is very tranquil Cowladyrunning, it never really gets busy as there are no shops or any other kind of entertainment there as in some other beauty spots, it's suitable for runners, walkers or cyclists but not for the likeing of a parkrun.

I ran that 7K on Wednesday morning when there was no snow or ice, however, on Wednesday evening there were 3 short light snow showers which have left the place a little white and a little icy, if I had ran on Thursday morning I would have been very careful that I did not slip or fall and would have ran slower than I did on Wednesday.
