That 50 is made up of 17 official Parkruns and 33 virtual and (not) parkruns, today was actually my 20th (not) parkrun.

I ran it on part of the course that I ran, run 3 of week 6, yes that was when I officially became a runner, that was Monday 28th May 2018, so it brought back happy memories to me.

Well done AlMorr

I ran it today because there is a weather warning for heavy rain and wind for tomorrow which is the usual day for running 5K (not) parkruns, this morning it is lovely and sunny. 😊 🏃🏾

Your record keeping is impressive Alan! I’m glad you enjoyed your (not)parkrun this morning, I think we may be doing them for quite a while to come!

As I was saying to Sue the reason I ran it today was a wet and windy Saturday is forecast for tomorrow, lovely sunny day today,

I have kept a record of all my runs since starting C25K in April 2018, what I have not done until I got my running shoes and my new Smartphone is record the number of miles or kilometers since day one, certainly I am not way up with those who run 100K a month, I am nearer 40K a month with the 5K not parkrun I run on a Saturday and the longer mid week run I usually run on a Wednesday, that varies from 8K to 12K with one ten mile run back in July.

I aim for 70km per month, but a minimum of 3 x 5km per week.

Well done Sue👍😊🏃🏾

I have enjoyed all those 50 runs, not sure if I will get to 50 OFFICIAL Parkruns, the latest estimate is sometime next summer they may resume.

I am in awe of your speed, well done Al and congratulations on 50 park runs

AlMorr profile image
AlMorrAmbassadorGraduate in reply to SueAppleRun

Thanks W&S, it would be even better if it was 50 official Parkruns, but never mind, 17 official and 33 virtual ones add up to 50.

Yes and you are a great inspiration keeping them going through this year of virtual park runs and not having people all around you supporting each other, this year has taken its toll on so many people, not just the virus but the isolating and social distancing that goes with it

Well done!!!

Thanks Bambi2020., I ran that on the same route as I officially became a runner which for everyone is run 3 of week 6.

Well done Al, 50 😲.... amazing 👌

AlMorr profile image
AlMorrAmbassadorGraduate in reply to CazzaW

Thanks, CazzaW, it's interesting regarding the same distance and pace I run today compared to the run 3 of week 6 on the same course as I ran back in May 2018, I started at the exact same place as on that graph above, then I ran for 15 minutes, turned where on the graph it splits in two directions and finished a little short of where I began, that run was run at around 08:00 Km pace, this morning running at 06.54 Km pace I got a lot further before turning back, even then at the pace I was going I would have ended the run beyond where I began, hence that second diversion on the graph, doing it that way I ended my run just about 20 metres short of where I began it.

Very well done, Al! That is very impressive 👏👏👏 and it looks like it was a nice trip (run?) down memory lane too!

AlMorr profile image
AlMorrAmbassadorGraduate in reply to Beatlesforever

Indeed Beatlesforever, it brought happy memories to me, my pace back then was 8Km, this morning it was 6:54Km, so a bit faster today.

BeatlesforeverGraduate in reply to AlMorr

Wow, that's some improvement! It's great that you keep such detailed records, it really helps you see how far you've come 👍

AlMorr profile image
AlMorrAmbassadorGraduate in reply to Beatlesforever

Lol, I have not kept a record of how many kilometers I have ran since I started C25K, only from when I began my first parkrun and got my more upto date Smartphone.

AlMorr profile image
AlMorrAmbassadorGraduate in reply to Beatlesforever

I have just looked back at the pace of my very first longish run which was run 3 of week 5, its on my old Smartphone, that's the one I only used for timing and pace, the pace for that 20 minute run was 08:40/km.

Well done, AlMorr 👏👏👏👍

Good to run today and avoid the bad weather!

I am impressed with your record keeping. I’ve been keeping a record on a spreadsheet since Week 7 of C25K. It’s interesting to look and see improvements and milestones; also to see how many kms I run each month,

AlMorr profile image
AlMorrAmbassadorGraduate in reply to Jools2020

Yes, it's nice to look back on past runs, however, I don't have a record of how many kilometers I have ran since run 1 of C25K.

Well done Al! 👍🏻😄 I’m imagining you galloping along that near the Erskine Bridge , great view, happy memories!

AlMorr profile image
AlMorrAmbassadorGraduate in reply to Elfe5

No, it's not the Erskine Bridge, if you view my run this morning on Relive, the bridge you see is the Kincardine Bridge, that was built over the River Forth in 1936.

Well done AlMorr! I wonder if you keep a journal about your runs? Or do you just have an extremely good memory?

AlMorr profile image
AlMorrAmbassadorGraduate in reply to 59er

I have kept diaries since 2015, at first it was to record the growth of my beard then in 2018 I kept a record of all the runs, including parkruns I have ran since the first one in July 2019..

Well done AlMorr and you picked a lovely day for it although not so sunny and dry now😊👍

AlMorr profile image
AlMorrAmbassadorGraduate in reply to Buddy34

I ran it today because the weather forecast for tomorrow is wind and ☔ rain , yes, wind and ☔ rain, that's good news for you, I know that you love running in that weather, so you could run at least 10 miles up towards Hillend Loch, that will add more miles to Lejog for you. 😊 🏃🏾

Buddy34 profile image

Ran that route on Monday😊👍

Before the railway was reopened I used to cycle from Cumbernauld over to Airdrie.

At a small park, just east of where Drumgelloch Station is now, called Katherine Park I joined the cycle path and cycled to Blackridge and occasionally as far as Bathgate in West Lothian, that was during the 1990's, at that time I knew a cycling friend who lived in Bell Street in Airdrie, however, I have not cycled with him for now more than 18 years,

Well done , hopefully you won’t have done 50 (not) parkruns before we get the real thing back again!

AlMorr profile image
AlMorrAmbassadorGraduate in reply to Dexy5

Thanks Dexy, it is anyone's guess when the official park runs will resume, if they had not stopped on the 14th March this weekend would have been my 50th official park run, however, I am not sure if I would have gone to them all as there are no parkruns near to where I live, with the (not) parkruns I can choose the day I run and where I run, most have been Saturday's with a few Fridays if the weather forecast is bad for a Saturday.
