I first did C25K in summer 2020, and since then I have started and stopped more than twice! I am now intending to continue, and I am up to week 6 run 1.
My question is in relation to the not running on consecutive days rule. This has never been a problem before - my main activity is long walks. Now I am doing a step class on a Thursday morning. Is this so similar to running that I shouldn't run on Wednesday or Friday mornings? At the moment, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday works best for my life, but if advised to change it, I will find another way!

You're right. Step aerobics and skipping are going to put a similar strain on your legs to running. I'll leave it to others who have actually done step classes to say whether it's likely to affect the rest days.
Well. I usually always do Wednesday, Friday and Sunday... I do Yoga every day, a strength routine and often use indoor walking as a rest day exercise...
I feel that as long as you feel okay , that you are fine, apparently, the muscles used for step class are not the same as for running, so the chances of over use of a particular muscle group is unlikely.
If you feel comfortable that is okay, just as we all do, listen to your body, it is your best friend
I haven’t done step in ages but it’s loads of fun. I agree with Oldfloss -it’s different enough that I would have thought it would be absolutely fine. See how you go though, and be ready to adjust as you need to. It might be that you’re a bit tired on the Friday!
It sounds like you’re making great progress through the programme. Good luck with the rest of it! Updates are always welcomed here! 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
