I got up to and completed run 1 of week5 was in a great little routine, however due to work and busy life I haven’t gotten out in the past 5 weeks. I plan on getting back into a routine towards the end of this week. Should I start again from week 1 or just go back to the start of say week 4?

Hi, I have been doing C25K for five years, on and off. Like you sometimes work got in the way and there didn’t seem to be enough time to fit it in. In January 2022 I started it again, only this time I decided I wouldn’t put pressure on myself to complete within 9 weeks. I kept running even if it was only once or twice each week. I repeated the weeks / runs I knew I could fit in and eventually completed the full program in November 2022. I have continued to run at least 2-3 each week. Do it in your own time and you will succeed.
I’m not sure whether there’s an official answer to this- I’m absolutely happy to be corrected on that!
Have you still been active in other ways? In your situation, I’d go back to week 3 and see how I got on. Take it really steadily. If it’s too much, be ready to walk and not judge yourself-you’d be being smart. It might be a bit of trial and error to find what suits best.
Really good luck to you. It’ll feel great when you’ve got that first run under your belt and you’re a runner who ran today. Those sort of gaps happen to all of us-life can be challenging sometimes! Take it steady and you’ll soon be back to where you were.
Another vote for week 3 here. It's a good test of how well you're doing. There are longer runs than in the first two weeks but the overall amount of running time is the same.
Thanks everyone for your reply. I’ll start back at week 3. I agree MissUnderstanding it will be great to get the first run again under my belt. Thanks again everyone.
