knee injury
Unfortunately there is no 'One size fits all' answer here .It would depend on what the issue is which is something no one can diagnose here on a forum.
What we can say however is not to run with pain !
Take a few days out and see if it eases .
Follow the advice shown in the program guide

If no improvement then maybe an appointment with a GP or a Sports physio would be advisable.
Take care
Is this the same niggle you posted about before? If so, maybe it’s time to see someone in real life since it’s been going on a little while. A GP or sports physio as suggested by Instructor57 would be a good plan of action, and I echo the advice not to run on it while you’re in pain.
Hope it heals soon. It must be really frustrating. ❤️
I am so not a doctor - but I had a knee problem last year. I ran up and down too many hills too soon. Anyway rested it, switched to a bike and slowly got back to running. most frustrating is resisting the urge to run and waiting around for things to be better. But, it hasn't come back (touch wood) and I'm running wherever I want. I think my body just needed to adjust slower than a 25 yearold.
Hi De48 , I'm glad to hear you've made an appointment with your GP. I also hope that if necessary they refer you to a physio or other professional with specialist knowledge of how best to recover from your injury.
I know how frustrating it can be to have to rest and /or do much less than you were doing before. However please do take the professionals' advice, because your knee's obviously not going to sort itself out without help.
Oh I have the same issues, injured it on weel 1 run3 but have kept going but getting worse so xray next went and self referral to physio
Hi, it's so annoying having a knee injury. I was so frustrated, as I love running. I haven't been doing it for long. My right knee started to give me pain August last year. I self referred to the physio. Unfortunately, I think she took one look at my age, 66, said it was probably arthritis, gave me some gentle exercise and a walking stick! I had to beg for an x-ray, which I eventually had. Not arthritis. I started seeing a chiropractor months ago. I am now pain free and started running again in April. I went back to the very beginning of C25K, I really enjoyed starting again from scratch, as I knew what to expect. I also swim a kilometre twice a week now. Sadly I lost faith with the physio. I'm sure they don't all try and fob people off with walking sticks
Happy that you have made an appointment with your GP.
After I ran 6k instead of the 5k I should have (got carried away), my knee developed a Baker cyst, which caused a tight feeling when trying to bend the knee. Took a while for the cyst to go away.
Fingers crossed that you will be up and running soon.
interesting! Could you feel the cyst ? As mine isn’t swollen or anything just can’t bend as it’s so stiff
Yes. I could feel a protrusion behind my knee. Bending it hurt quite a bit and I could not bend it fully. Went to the orthopaedist who felt the knee, did an x-ray and ultrasound and sent me to get MR imaging done. It turnded out that I got a second cyst as wel, inside the knee.
Took it easy respectively did not run for three weeks and then started with 15 minute runs working my way up to 10k earlier on this year.
Going to the GP is exactly the right thing to do. Good luck 😁
