I have only recently recovered from a chronic calf injury which I have had on and off for several years. I knew Tim in Devon where he had a joinery workshop in the village where I used to live. We often chatted about running and my recurring injury came up from time to time. As I ran yesterday at a comfortable ten and a half minute mile pace for around 40 minutes I remembered Tim and the advice he gave me for my calf muscles. He said I should slow down and shorten my stride. That was good advice Tim and I am taking it now and hope to continue enjoying the fresh air and exercise for a good many years yet.

Lovely message, nice to hear from someone who knew Tim in 'real life'. He had lots of virtual friends here, who are already missing him.
