I don’t often leave the house at 6 am for fun but it was so worth it to be part of the Queenstown Marathon. 13000 people swarm into town for this event and I wasn’t prepared for how busy it would be at the race especially after avoiding crowds for a few years due to Covid. Flat out beautiful it indeed was . W8R1 done apart from a few bottlenecks with walkers at the start. then I unexpectedly bumped into a work colleague and we walked the rest in awe of the half marathon winners flying past us. Already booked for next year and hope to run the whole way! The pic is the 10km start line
