Yep, as the title says, I did my first park run in over 4 years and so very proud of myself!
My local course is really lovely and the people are so encouraging. I did walk/run and my time was 43.55! It did make me laugh though when my pace was the same as a walker 🤣🤣 he did have long legs though 🤔 and he finished before me, but hey ho, not about the time, I got up and did it.

Congratulations to you Running at 50 on completing your first parkrun in over 4 years, I agree with you that you should be very proud of yourself, if you can keep running parkruns on a Saturday morning you could contribute to Damienair's Saturday morning parkruns post where many people post a report of their run.
Well done on your Park run. Before doing C25k in the summer, I had never done one and it was my goal. I graduated in early August and have now done 4. I never thought getting up and moving at that time of a Saturday would be so enjoyable but you just feel so good afterwards. I’m currently nursing a bit of a muscle strain so haven’t run for 3 weeks and really missing it so have been volunteering insteda to keep me in the habit. Everyone who turns up at a park run is made to feel so welcome and lots of people run, walk/run or just walk - just do what is right for you. Brilliant job, well done x
Well done, pleased it was a really positve experence . Im totally addicted to Parkrun!! Started last year when they were allowed to come back after covid. Our local parkrun is a really lovely one thriugh a local country park and along a river. The people are really friendly and ive made some great friends. If you continue going im sure you will too!🏃♀️😃
