Back in France for a further month. Have come down to the Dordogne from Burgundy and had a the first of this week’s 3 5k runs. My knee has been hurting a bit so am limiting my runs to 5k for a few weeks.

Beautiful scenery at Beaulieu. Cool at 7:00 am but otherwise very hot.

Yes, it is beautiful. It’s a spot we’ve been coming to since 1992. Barely changed over the years. France is full of lovely villages.

Chapel of the Penitents, Beaulieu sur Dordogne, and other scenes in Beaulieu.

Had a few rumbles of thunder last night and much cooler today, thankfully. Another run tomorrow and supper in the little square.

LOVE it there... lucky, lucky you! Slow and steady as you go and give the knee time to recover... soak up the scenery as you go... so envious! x

I live in the Val de Loire near Blois. Running is quite popular here. Most of my runs are along levée of the north bank of the river. A really nice place to run. Daytime temperatures around 30°C recently, so morning runs are best. :)

What a lovely place to live! Yes, early morning runs are required in this heat. Having said that, I missed this morning’s run as we had torrential rain and a terrific lightning storm.
