Could someone tell me when I should replace the insoles in my running shoes - they’re ‘proper’ ones I got from the running shop when I first started. I’ve had them for 3 yrs though & have been running fairly regularly (2 or 3 times a week) all that time.
Thanks.

If your insoles are compressed and lack cushioning then they probably are not very beneficial.
Three years is also quite a long time for running shoes to last unless they only get minimal wear.
This FAQ Post about running shoes may help healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and , as I state in that post, the best people to advise you are experts in a specialist running shop
Thanks for this. The shoes were replaced some time ago but I was told the insoles could be transferred to the new ones for a while & this has worked up until now (about 18 months I think). I suppose I wouldn’t be asking unless I’d started to notice a difference - sorry, I think this is me realising the blindingly obvious as I type! The original shop has closed but there’s another one nearby, I’ll go & ask. Thanks again.
I was advised when I bought my running shoes to replace them after a certain distance run rather than a period of time so I would imagine this could apply to insoles too. As Tim says, taking them both back to the shop for specialist advice would be a good move.
