I had to break for almost 3 weeks between R2 and R3 (work, life, 40 degree heat, etc) so I was a bit worried this morning when I finally got to run again! Thanks for all the posts guys and gals, I read great advice about stamina and fitness loss etc and decided I was okay to give W6R3 a go and take it really easy see how I felt.
It's ο»Ώa beautiful morning here in Yorkshire, clear skies, the chirp of birds, a cool breeze...what's not to love!? My legs felt very heavy especially at first but the easy pace made it okay to just plod along and keep going. I was surprised to hear Laura say, "You've 1 minute left so if you're feeling good why not pick up the pace for the last 60 seconds".........and I did!! Just!! Hahahaha! Barely any faster in all honesty - but it felt great!!
Have a great weekend everyone!! πββοΈπ

Thanks Instructor57! Great advice as always. I try to always have a 2l bottle with me whilst working and I always finish it. Maybe it's not enough? I'll up my water and see what happens!!
Thanks. I don't carry water or drink whilst running.
I have a mainly desk based job and always drink at least 2l each day whilst working. Having a bottle makes it easier to know how much you've drunk I find. I'll up this and hope the legs get lighter!
Thanks! I was wondering whether my running gap would have a huge affect on my ability (especially when I saw it was a 25 minute run) and I have old injuries (knees) that have crippled my running in the past....but I was okay. Its posts like your that really make you think you can do it and to just go for it!
Very much appreciated....what a great thought.....I will make sure I enjoy closing this out! Thanks!! π€
Fantastic run for you Nel4, congratulations on completing run 3 of week 6, you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER, onwards and upwards to week 7 which are all 3/25 minute runs, not long now until you graduate
Well done! It feels so good when a run goes better than expected. Literally every run I have done so far I worry that I can't do it π I only have one more run till graduation so I should have some faith in myself! Well done again x
