When I woke up today it seemed too sunny to run but by 10am it was overcast and a breeze was keeping the day cool (I'm in Scotland) so off I went.
I chose the/an? 'Easy' run on the Nike app, my first use of this app and first listen to Coach Bennett. He is amazing, so reassuring and he focuses on making you feel good about your run. I did worry early on that he was going to talk all the way through the whole run but he didn't. And then I realised he had stopped talking altogether: turns out when I had banged my hand against my phone I had managed to pause at 13m07s; my watch told me that actually I had been running for 27mins... Apart from my klutzy mishap, I really enjoyed my run and the Nike run club app - and I ran my longest run to date, 35 mins 😀.
So, thank you to everyone who offered tips on what to run to after my last post. I'll give other apps a try but I am very impressed by Nike and Coach Bennett!

That sounds like a smashing post grad run there Collops ! Well done. I thought the same thing the first time I listened to Coach Bennett, that he’d talk all the way through, but it was just right. Well done again! 😊
Thank you Frenc! I'm very pleased that Coach B doesn't talk too much 🙂. Is Nike Run Club your usual app then if you have listened to him multiple times? Do you have a favourite guided run?
It just depends what mood I’m in! Sometimes I just like to listen to my music, but others I feel like a bit of company, generally on longer runs. I switch them around. 😊
I know what you mean about Coach Bennett! At first I thought he had a lovely voice, then I found it all a bit much and hoped he would stop talking, then I missed him when he'd been quiet for a while 😂 I think it will just take some getting used to but will definitely do more NRC runs!
😂😂 This! Such a relief that it is not non-stop talking, and I am going to do more NRC runs too - and aiming not to switch it off accidentally next time!
