Went out for my run at 5.30 this morning to try and beat the heat. By the time I got back, it was already rapidly warming up out there! Be careful today everyone 🥵🥵🥵 x

I'm seriously regretting not doing the same! About to leave now but just returned from the school bus stop and it's already sweltering. Will head to the woods again I think!

A shady route will help but take care x

Urgh, I've just got back 🥵

Went for shady lanes near home in the end as couldn't face the car. Took it even slower than usual and the first half was fine but the last bit had less shade and wasn't at all pleasant. I am now a sweaty tomato with a headache.

Well done for going! Lots to drink now and hopefully that will help with the headache x

This is what is going to set me back as I just can’t run in this heat at all. Well done for getting up and out so early 👍🏻

It was a bit of a struggle but there’s no way I could run otherwise! I was a bit of a sweaty mess when I got home! X

Daily regular hydration, good diet rich in electrolytes, early morning runs, as much shade as possible, slower tempo then usually, lower mileage - and you should be fine. But, even then some people tolerate the heat better (me, for example), whereas some can experience lightheadedness or even faint even if not exercising so, as always, listen to your body at all times.
