Today I embarked on my first run… ever? At 30 years old. I don’t exercise, I don’t move from my desk all day and I’m tired of feeling… tired! Wanting to get fit, but not wanting to over-promise myself as I know what I’m like! But feeling pretty good after that first run! Even if it wasn’t the full set. Happy hump day!

Congratulations on completing your first run.... ever, I assume that was run 1 of week 1 of C25K, welcome to the forum, take all the runs slowly and keep ridgidly to the program, no running on consecutive days as that could cause a injury, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, good luck for your running journey with C25K.
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5....

Welcome aboard, and enjoy the journey. It really is a phenomenal programme, it got me running for 30 mins 3 times a week and I'm loving it. Slow and steady and regular is the key, as others have said. Enjoy W1R2 👏
Well done and Welcome. That 1st run is one of the hardest. Do read - IannodaTruffe - Essential reading.
I'm stuck to a desk all day, too. Nothing pleases me more than heading straight out to run after a day of that.
A lot of running is in your head. Once you stop thinking "I'll never be able to..." and start thinking, "I can do that", it gets a lot easier.
I just get my music on and get lost in my own thoughts. (It's a wonderful place).
It's addictive.
"but not wanting to over-promise..." I think, once you start, you'll not want to stop.
"feeling pretty good after that first run!" There are lots of great runs out there. You've just got to go and get them. (There will be some "bad" runs too, but they still teach you and it's still Km under your belt. (I'm run in Metric)).
Sorry, I don't usually witter on like that.
Trust the program. Slow down. Hydrate...
Just get out there and enjoy.
Well done!!! It's not easy to get started...welcome aboard!!
Just do what you can, when you can and don't put too much pressure on yourself...and as has been said...stick to the programme...it is AMAZING! Good luck!
Well done for starting, you will be amazed with what you can do!Follow and trust the plan it works!
