Surprisingly I woke up at 6 this morning. Still in France and thinking NOW will be the best time to run. I got myself together, greeted the dog and exited stage right. It was beautifully cool so I was glad I'd made the effort. Lots of traffic on the main road in to town so I went round the back roads, saw few and greeted no-one. I did actually think about skipping the next run and going on to week 4 as I found this quite comfortable but no - I'll stick to my plan. I ran with only one ear plug in otherwise I would've missed the pigeons cooing and the sound of the water gushing down the 'canal'. I love this time of the morning. Quiet. Everyone getting ready for their day. Then home to walk the dog!
Enjoyed it 🙂 - looking forward to Friday.

It's still too cool at 6am here to think of doing that. And then as soon as the sun gets higher it suddenly gets warm. Between 6am and 9am this morning the temperature rose by 10°C. This means that you'd either be freezing at the start of the run or dripping at the end of it.
Lovely to read this post - I remember doing the same and how good it felt - I'm not running long enough distances to pull such an early shift, but there's not much that gets me out so early in the morning - nothing in fact! 😁
