That was a struggle to get up this morning but I did it πŸŽ‰

Decided to use a 30min run using NRC this morning. Was a pain having to set timer for 5min warm up and then to stop and start NRC. Then he started talking which was okay but then thought I can't do 30min with him talking to me nonstop. Thankfully he did stop in parts so wasn't as bad and almost liked it by the end. Going to experiment with things till I find the right fit for me. The main thing is I did it πŸ€ͺπŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

You're being consistent on getting out, well done. Will take a bit of tinkering to find what's more enjoyable. I tried C25K+ Stepping Stones podcast on last one, has the 5min warm-up and cool down and is a 30 min run. That one pushed me as it gets you to increase your cadence ... And the starting point was already faster than my usual steps per min πŸ€πŸ˜‚. The other two C25K+ podcasts are a shorter speed interval training one (think 15mins or so) and a 35min stamina one so keeping those for after consolidation.

Which NRC run did you try? Instead of setting 5 min stop watch maybe play a music track that takes you close to the 5 mins, when it gets near the end you can have NRC ready to go.

Edit: just back from run to the stepping stones podcast and seems to be a 29 to 29.5min run so needed extra 30secs or so. Quite tough especially the last 5 min increase πŸ₯΅ so might push it back to after a week or two of more normal 3x30. Guess it depends how your cadence is to begin with.

NRC has a Quickstart setting for when you want a bit of guidance as to how far you've gone but don't want to listen to a guided run. It has settings of 'distance', 'time' and 'speed' so if you want a 5 minute warm up and 30 minute run just set it for 35 minutes.PS be careful dissing Coach Bennett (I'm guessing it was him ;) ), he's got a big fan club on here. You probably got away with it though by saying you almost liked it by the end πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
