Race day has arrived!

Hi guys, I’m running my first 5K race today for Race for Life. I’ve trained for this, I know I can do it, it’s overcast which is good, not too hot, and I’ve got excitement/nerves in my tummy, not sure which lol.

Any advice is greatly received thanks. PS I’m not fast but I can run 5K. I’ll post a race report later … 🏃🏽‍♀️😬🤗

Enjoy your day! I would just say start off slowly , run at your own pace and have a lovely day!( and arrive nice and early if you can to allow plenty of time for "the loo queue").So excited for you!

Super good luck. Hope you have a brilliant run. Sounds like you’re well prepared. I always go off too fast as I get over-excited and follow the faster people so it can take a while to find your usual rhythm. But I’m sure you’ll do excellently. Have fun and enjoy.

Ohh good luck. Stick to the pace you know, you can always speed up towards the end if you're feeling good. Enjoy the run and the atmosphere.

I’ve done Race for Life before. It is a good atmosphere. Try not to start off too quickly, & if you need to walk that’s ok! Enjoy 😀

Many thanks, it is a great cause and I’m pleased to have raised £280 plus gift aid, it was good fun and I’ve now completed my first in person race (done virtual runs). Race report and photos to follow. Thanks for your support
