JJMP w1r2 and a priceless moment

Completed w1r2 at my local park this afternoon. It is a 2.5km loop and the two loops were completed in 40mins.

My graduation run for c25k was over 5k in 30mins but that was a one off as I really pushed myself because I wanted to do 5k for my last run.

But, today's run showed my fitness has definitely improved. Even though I have done a few c25k & consolidation runs at this park, I never ran the 5k here. Once I completed the 2 loops, I remembered about 10yrs back I had attempted to jog this park as I was getting bored of walking there regularly. I managed to jog the 2.5k loop once or twice, (not sure why I did not continue). I had felt such a feeling of achievement back then, to have jogged the whole park! May be because I was never a runner.

Back then I was younger and I would be so chuffed if I could manage 2 rounds in 45mins by part brisk walk/part jogging.

Beating my own time, (even though it was by a very small margin) was good..but a decade older & running two loops of that park non-stop was priceless!

Sharing a pic of a sunset during one of my consolidations runs last week at a different park.

That’s a stunning photo. Congratulations on finishing week 1 of JJMP too. It’s so nice to go back to old runs and find them easier, more enjoyable or that you can do them faster.
