10 weeks ago I had never run, other than as a small child! In the last 10 weeks I've battled low blood pressure & low blood sugars (making morning runs a bit tricky!), a dodgy hip, been diagnosed with asthma (inhalers have made SUCH a difference), pulled my lower back and I've still managed to finish and graduate. My final 2 runs have been at sunrise along the coastal promenade in Torremolinos, and what a way to end the C25K! I never thought I'd be able to run and I'm so happy that I have managed it. Some runs I love, some I feel like I'm trudging through treacle, but I love that I can get out wherever I am and just 'go for a run', something I never thought I'd be able to say. I'm looking forward to gradually increasing time, distance and speed and thanks to everyone who has posted great advice I think I pretty much know how to go about that safely. Going to consolidate back home in the cold UK weather until end of month and then start on the 5K-10k plan on here (ju-ju's I think??)
I know I've not posted on here before but I've read loads of your posts and they are soooo motivational and have really kept me going. What a brilliant community to be a part of. Looking forward to braving a park run once I've got my morning run/blood sugar issues under control and being part of that community too. Yay! I did it!!
