Did first run of week 8 today. Really missing the woodland trails. Running around a housing estate trying to dodge the worst of the wind is not my favourite type of run, I will be back on home turf for next one, have taken a couple of extra days this week as feeling tired. Been looking after Ellie as my son and his wife have been selling their house so keeping her occupied during viewings. Good news is it’s sold! So home to lovely Dorset on Wednesday, bring on the last 3 runs!!

Well done on your run regardless of location! Best of luck with your last week 😊.

Well done! Nothing at all wrong with taking a few extra days out. I just did the same and the reset seems to have reignited my enthusiasm.I know what you mean about pounding the pavements, not my idea of fun either.

And it is too warm in my neck of woods! I finished work earlier than usual today, its so hot though that I will need to wait for it to cool down a bit for my w8r2 😂

I did week 8 run 2 on Friday. I deliberately chose a flat location around a marina rather than my usual muddy, hilly, country lanes and bridleways. It was scenic enough but I was amazed to find I didn’t enjoy it much at all. I just found the lack of variation in terrain tedious and there were far too many people around. Plus, there were a fair few shops frontages which acted like mirrors. Seeing myself running is not good for my ego!

Run 3 will be back around the local countryside and I will appreciate it more having found that the grass is indeed greener there after all!

Enjoy your next runs.
