Hi runny folks, well I made it through two runs of week 4 and managed it pretty well - although I felt pretty tired all day after my second run on Friday. Felt happy enough to take a photo of the flowers coming through! Woke up on Saturday with my sinusitis feeling like it was turning into the beginnings of a cold. By the end of the day, it was definitely a cold (You can see where this is going can't you..)
Yesterday, I thought I should probably do a lateral flow just in case, although I'd tested negative on Friday. The drops had barely hit the tester before a nice strong red line appeared. Oh gosh and darn it 🤒😷
I just feel like I've got a bad cold though. In fact, when I *did* have just a cold in January, I felt much worse than I do now. Still, no running for me this week. Self -isolating and daytime TV instead 😬
Thank heavens for vaccines 🙏

Uh oh. Take care and use the opportunity to put your feet up and relax. Hope your symptoms stay mild and you recover soon. How many days do u have to isolate for?
Thanks. It's 10 days, or a minimum of 6 days if I get two clear lft's in a row. So that could be as soon as Thursday if I count from first day of symptoms, or Friday if I count from day of positive test. (I've had conflicting advice on NHS emails)
Thank heavens indeed. I an glad you are not feeling too unwell. very well done you on getting those runs in... do take care and rest up.The good news, you Can come into Catch-up Corner later... with no risk of infecting the rest of us ...take care x
Just read this not grumpy, and oh! You have had a long journey since your injuries. You show such patience and perseverance. I hope that you are better now and perhaps running has resumed again. It is lovely seeing flowers appear isn't it?
Thought you'd be pleased to know that I've just been for a little stroll along the canal. Again not very far, but it was lovely to see the ducks - and other people!
