Well, November was a bit of a washout with both the flu jab and the booster knocking me sideways. Since then I'd been quietly getting in my little run walks, building up the run sections until they lasted 8 minutes, when my Christmas tree did for me. I was kneeling down to unscrew the base for dismantling, when a pain shot through my foot, which was bent under me. I should have known better than to scrunch it under me like that, it felt really sore, and I knew I couldn't run for a while to give it a chance to heal.
This morning was cold and bright, and I decided that today was a good time to venture out again. I did a week 4 run and it felt so good to get out! Foot feels ok, just a little sore where the ligament was damaged, but no worse than it was when the physio ok'd me to run again.
I'm starting c25k with a running group soon (again!!!), so I'll just do a couple of little runs like this to keep myself ticking over until that starts. Here I go again! π
