So here it goes….. I have not run for over a year and over the year piled on the pounds. Fed up of feeling uncomfortable and my clothes not fitting and i actually miss my time running! (Never thought I’d say that!) So this afternoon I’m going to dig out my running gear and go in the morning, no excuses. I’m going to start from the beginning of the plan as I I’m not sure if wise to just jump into the full 30mins run. Wish me luck 🤞🏼

I do wish you luck, I remember you here on this site in 2020 because of your username, all those x es, so I will remind you when restarting C25K to take all the runs slowly, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, no running on consecutive days as that could cause a injury, good luck for your second time doing C25K 🏃🏾👍

Welcome back.
If you haven't run for a year it would be unwise to push yourself to do 30 minutes straight off.
As stated in the guide to the plan, you lose no significant condition in the first two weeks of non running. After that loss of condition is gradual.
All any of us can do after a lay off is to go out for a gentle run and see what we can comfortably manage, then use C25k or something similar to rebuild stamina and resistance to injury.
Always better to err on the side of caution and gently rebuild your stamina and your resistance to injury.
I have redone C25k several times because of injury or illness and have always gone right through the whole programme from W1R1 and i never had as much as a year off.
What's the hurry?
Take your time and stay safe.
