Cooler weather? Getting fitter? Or both?

I’m not sure if the cooler weather is helping, or if I’m getting fitter or a bit of both?

After running my first full 5K on my first post grad run I decided to go back to 30 mins for this run so I didn’t overdo it and keeping to the 10% rule.

I managed all sub 7 min KM Which is the first time I’ve managed that!!

Very pleased with that and enjoying running very much

Fantastic run. I look at it that the heat hasn’t stopped you performing to your current level of fitness. So it’s fitness all the way.

Probably both, well done!!

I found that running in the heat easily added 20bpm to the peak heart rate which was tiring me out a lot sooner than usual.

I'm back to my "normal" distance and heart rate ever since it has cooled down a bit.

I’ve only been running the longer distances since it got really hot so not used to running in cooler weather. I’ve been getting out at 6 am but it’s still hot. Much cooler this morning and felt much more comfortable
