I stopped running in April after completing C25k. In August I realised I needed to pick it back up and to motivate myself I entered into an organised race. Well, on Saturday I completed it! 10k later, I smashed my target time and couldn’t be more proud of myself. Already looking for the next one to enter!
For anyone struggling to keep going, I couldn’t recommend getting involved in something like this more. The motivation of race day looming closer and the atmosphere once you’re there will push you through the tough times.
