I couldn’t complete my 3rd run of week 1 as I had an operation on my toe 7 weeks ago and it’s sore after the 2 runs so need to rest it for a few days . Gutted

It certainly won't mess up the app.........you are crediting it with being far cleverer than it actually is. As stated in the guide to the plan, you lose no significant condition in the first two weeks of non running. After that loss of condition is gradual.

Just pick up where you left off.

It might however indicate that your running shoes are too small for you........it should not be in contact with the front of your shoe.

Most people wear shoes a minimum of half a size larger than their normal footwear size and some up to two sizes bigger. This allows feet to swell as you run for longer distances. This FAQ post about buying running shoes may help. healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Hello Paula. Well done for getting motivated and doing the first two runs, actually getting started is half the battle. Sorry about your toes, that must be frustrating.

The app definitely won't mind if you have a bigger gap between runs, but if the gap is more than a few days then think about repeating one or both runs depending on how W1 R3 feels, the app won't mind that either. I repeated several runs here and there, I'd rather go slow and steady than have to stop for weeks if I push too hard.

Not what you're looking for?
