After about 18 months of injury and prevarication I have done what I never ever thought I would be able to do and I have eventually completed the challenge. Every morning before the runs I would read the forum and be motivated by the messages so thank you to everyone for helping me achieve the goal. I can’t say that I have fallen in love with running but I am hoping I do continue a couple of times a week to keep up the stamina. Good luck to all of you who are mid way through and believe me, if I can do it, you most definitely can!

Week 9 run 3 Done
Many congratulations on your graduation, fellow runner.
To fall in love with running, try slowing down even further. An easy conversational pace equates to approximately 75% of your maximum heart rate, which is the perfect zone to build the solid aerobic base required to run faster and further, which is why it is the pace at which elite athletes spend up to 80% of their training time.
Slowing down to the recommended easy conversational pace makes it more achievable and for most, more enjoyable. Faster is not necessarily better.

Keep running, keep smiling.
Oh well done Itsamiracle! That is a great achievement. This forum is so helpful, I read it before every run, and it’s helped me get out the door so many times! Now you can consolidate and enjoy your new found skill. Hurrah!!! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Well done Itsamiracle! Around week 3 I actively decided I was going to enjoy this running lark and it’s getting better and better. Since graduating I’ve got the Nike Run Club app and really like it. There are different Coaches, my favourite so far is Coach Bennett, who encourages you to think about your run, your body, your surroundings and life in general. Highly recommended (and it’s free!).
Good luck for the future.
